The Heart Behind Language Arts Academy

Language Arts Academy has always been more than a school. It began with a mother's search for the right place for her own child and grew into a lifelong commitment to creating a warm, personal learning environment where every child is truly known, valued, and encouraged to shine.

With more than 25 years of experience in education, a Master's Degree in Education, and a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, Gabriela brings both professional expertise and a parent's understanding of how important it is to choose the right environment for a child.

In 2007, Gabriela founded Language Arts Academy with a simple vision: to create the kind of school she once searched for—a place with small groups, meaningful teacher-child relationships, individualized attention, Spanish immersion, and learning through creativity, exploration, and hands-on experiences.

As Founder, Owner, and Director, Gabriela continues to guide the school with the same belief that inspired its beginning: education is about more than preparing children for the next classroom. It is about helping them become confident, curious, independent, kind, and excited to learn.

​Mary Vidal brings more than 10 years of Early Childhood Education experience to Language Arts Academy, combining a strong understanding of child development with extensive experience supporting teachers, children, and families.

She holds a degree in Business Administration and a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, giving her a valuable combination of educational knowledge, organizational leadership, and management experience.

As School Manager at Language Arts Academy, Mary helps oversee the school's daily operations, supports our teachers, and maintains the welcoming, organized, and nurturing environment we want every child and family to experience.

Gladis is an experienced preschool educator with a background in Preschool Education and a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.

With five years on the Language Arts Academy team, she brings experience, patience, creativity, and a genuine love for teaching young children. She creates engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that encourage children to explore, participate, communicate, and develop confidence in their abilities.

Her classroom approach combines hands-on learning, early literacy and math, language development, art, sensory activities, social-emotional learning, and play-based learning.

Gladis is dedicated to creating a positive and nurturing classroom where children feel comfortable, supported, and excited to learn each day.

Natasha plays a key role in developing and implementing our educational programs at Language Arts Academy. She works closely with our teachers, providing curriculum training, guidance, and classroom support to help ensure consistent, meaningful learning experiences throughout our school.

She helps develop and adapt our curriculum according to the age, developmental stage, and learning needs of each group, incorporating age-appropriate, hands-on activities in language, early literacy, math, science, STEAM, art, sensory exploration, social-emotional development, and more.

Natasha also helps guide our teachers in following Texas Rising Star (TRS) quality criteria and best practices, emphasizing positive teacher-child interactions, purposeful learning experiences, appropriate classroom environments, and individualized support.

Through curriculum planning, teacher training, and ongoing collaboration, Natasha helps ensure that our classrooms provide children with engaging opportunities to learn, explore, build confidence, and develop important skills at their own developmental level.

Zamira is a caring, patient, and dedicated early childhood educator who has been an important part of the Language Arts Academy team for four years. Her experience working with infants and young children has given her a strong understanding of their developmental needs, daily routines, and the importance of creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.

She believes the earliest years are a key foundation for a child's development. Through warm interactions, consistent routines, and individualized attention, Zamira helps each child feel secure, comfortable, valued, and cared for throughout the day.

In the classroom, she supports children's development through language-rich interactions, music, movement, sensory exploration, art, fine-motor activities, learning through play, and age-appropriate hands-on experiences. She encourages early communication, independence, confidence, curiosity, and positive social-emotional development.

Cynthia brings patience, warmth, consistency, and a strong understanding of young children's developmental needs to her classroom. She understands that children learn at different rates and takes the time to encourage each child as they develop new skills, confidence, and independence.

She creates a caring, organized classroom environment where children can learn naturally through play, language, music, movement, sensory exploration, art, early academics, and hands-on activities.

Cynthia is especially committed to helping children develop important everyday skills, including communication, independence, positive social interactions, following routines, expressing emotions appropriately, and participating successfully in a classroom community.

In addition to her CDA Credential and early childhood education experience, Cynthia holds an Associate Degree in Transportation Management and Logistics, adding a diverse educational background and strong organizational skills to her professional experience.

Her dedication, reliability, and genuine care for children make Cynthia an important part of the Language Arts Academy teaching team.
